We are well into the 2010-2011 school year and many teachers have been making forays with their classes into the world of Google Apps. We know there have been glitches and obstacles to overcome along with the excitement that this new way of learning and connecting is bringing to the classroom.
We would like you to comment on Google Apps here.
Feel free to comment on the good, the bad and the ugly of Google Apps for LPS. We know that it is an everchanging environment that will frequently change and evolve as we continue on this journey that is Google Apps for LPS.

Computer Home Usage Survey
In September of 2009, we sent out a survey to all staff that involved questions on what kind of technology staff have access to at home and how it is used. The survey results will be shared at our October 28th meeting. If you have seen the results and you have any comments you would like to share please do so here.

Innovative Technology Grant Feedback Due!!!
The Innovative Technology Grant Feedback will be due to present to the district on April 16, 2009. Heidi sent out an email to all staff with instructions on how to access our online survey (done in Survey Monkey) on the grant. We need all teachers to complete this survey for us. The survey invitation may have ended up in the junk mail area of your email. It was titled: "We need your feedback! Don't delete this survey!" It will not launch from your junk mail so you will need to move it to your inbox. If you have trouble finding it once you drag it into your inbox, look for it in the 4/3/2009 messages (the day the original invitation was sent). You could also do a "sort" by "From" and look in the H's for hdudley@lps... in the "from" section (not Dudley as it would normally be listed).
Thanks for your help on this!

Innovative Technology Grant Feedback
How has having a computer and LCD projector in your classroom changed the way you teach? the way you assess learning? the way students interact in class? etc?

In time of change...
“In times of change learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.“–Eric Hoffer

Read Andy Carvin's blog and the respond to it. It relates to that very important question: what can you freely use from off the internet and what should you give credit for -- both as a teacher and as a student. Would the Best Practices in Fair Use document that it references be worth looking at and perhaps recommending to our staff as something to guide them and their students in their use of media?
