PBS Teachers learning.now . Achieving a Consensus on Fair Use and Media Literacy PBS
Read Andy Carvin's blog and the respond to it. It relates to that very important question: what can you freely use from off the internet and what should you give credit for -- both as a teacher and as a student. Would the Best Practices in Fair Use document that it references be worth looking at and perhaps recommending to our staff as something to guide them and their students in their use of media?

What do you think of this article? Is the topic of "Fair Use" something we need to be discussing within our departments as we begin to use internet sources and resources more and more within our teaching? It this also a topic we need to be discussing with our students and holding them accountable for since they are using the internet more and more for papers, projects, presentations, etc???
